Bill D. McKissick

Attorney & Founding Partner, Dugan, McKissick & Longmore, LLC

Bill is a founding partner of Dugan, McKissick and Longmore, LLC, and has been practicing business, corporate, real estate, zoning and other transactional law since 1989 . He earned his law degree with honors from the University Of Maryland School Of Law and attended Franklin and Marshall College.  He grew up in Baltimore City and moved to St. Mary’s County after spending summers clerking at a local law firm while in law school.  He has been involved with numerous local boards and task forces concerning issues affecting the business community and community at large and has been active with the Chamber of Commerce, serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors and in many other capacities and he was named Business Person of the Year.  He lives in St. Mary’s County, on the Patuxent River, and in his free time, enjoys playing tennis, boating and traveling.

Shannon A. Dent

Shannon A. Dent

Shannon is a transactional associate with experience in real estate, estate planning and probate law. Shannon graduated from the University of Baltimore School in 2011 and also is a graduate of Leonardtown High School. After missing family and the waterfront in Southern Maryland, she is thankful to have returned home to practice law and be more active in the community she grew up in.

Samuel H. Wiest

Samuel H. Wiest

Sam is an associate whose practice focuses on real estate transactions and related litigation.  Sam earned his law degree from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University.  Upon graduation from law school he served as law clerk to the Honorable Robert C. Nalley of the Circuit Court for Charles County, after which he joined the firm.  Sam speaks Spanish and enjoys travelling abroad, especially to Spain.  Married with three children, he is happy to call St. Mary's County his home.
